Tim by the Replacements

Growing up in LA, I loved shopping at iconic record stores like Rhino, Penny Lane, Aron's, and Tower. I'd walk in with a list of records I'd done research on from Trouser Press, NME, and other music guides but get sidetracked by staff recommendations and listening booth selections. One such discovery was Tim by the Replacements at Rhino. Recently, the band released a 4-disc set featuring revamped mixes that swap out the distant, murky mix and 80s reverb for clearer vocals and guitars that are front and center. This new mix highlights the album's lasting impact on modern music. Highly recommended.
