Tesla's newest high-end Models S and X are equipped with the same battery packs, but with software-locked capacities. The act of mining more raw materials than what's used by customers, with the intention of future upselling, sure seems like an irresponsible practice, particularly given the current challenges in supply chains and natural resources. 🤦‍♂️
