SF Federal Building Allegations

The SF Chronicle alleges that government workers whose job it is to make the region a better place to live, work and raise a family are supposedly told to telework because it's too unsafe to come into the office.

HHS Assistant Secretary for Administration Cheryl R. Campbell issued the stay-home recommendation in an Aug. 4 memo to regional leaders.

โ€œIn light of the conditions at the (Federal Building) we recommend employees โ€ฆ maximize the use of telework for the foreseeable future,โ€ Campbell wrote in the memo, a copy of which was obtained by The Chronicle.

โ€œThis recommendation should be extended to all Region IX employees, including those not currently utilizing telework flexibilities,โ€ Campbell wrote, referring to the federal government zone that includes California and other Western states.

I am at a loss for words.
